Pilates is a system of therapeutic exercises originally developed in the 1920s by Joseph H. Pilates. These exercises are designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the whole body with an emphasis on the breath, mindfulness, alignment, and coordinated, flowing movement.
The Hidden You is a fully equipped Pilates studio offering private sessions as well as small group equipment and mat classes.
Pilates focuses on the core muscles; the muscles found in the abdomen, back, glutes and hips. The core muscles support the pelvis and spinal column - the central structure for your entire body.
A flexible spine increases freedom of movement and provides space for the internal organs to function properly. Spine flexibility is accomplished by using over 500 exercises uniquely targeted to meet each individual’s needs.
